Vote By Mail

As of this upcoming election on February 5th, approximately 40 precincts in Napa County will become exclusively "vote by mail." Consequently, many of us will be voting by mail for the first time; in response, Democrats of Napa Valley would like to provide the following instructions:

1. Look for your ballot material in the mail, and put it in a safe place (where you can easily find it later).

2. Write down the deadline of Thursday, January 30th on your calendar. You should fill out and sign your ballot by then if you plan to mail it.

3. When you have completed your ballot, please be sure to SIGN THE ENVELOPE. Otherwise, you will have to go to election headquarters to sign it before Election Day.

4. If you cannot mail your completed ballot by 4:30 PM on Friday, January 31st, you must deliver it by hand. You can deliver it by hand to the Elections Office on Monday or Tuesday, February 4th or 5th.

The office can be found on the top floor of the Second Street Garage, or up the elevator off the alley alongside the garage

6. You can also deliver your ballot to any open polling place, or the Elections Office on Election Day, February 5th.

7. If you lose your ballot, throw it out, make an error, or it does not come in the mail, please call Elections at 253-4321.

To verify whether or not your precinct is VBM, you use the Napa County website's: Polling Place Locator
