NAPA, Napa County - January 4, 2008 -The Democrats of Napa Valley unveiled plans for their 2008 "Kick-Off Election Year" Party which will take place on Saturday, January 19th from 4 to 7p.m. the Napa Elks Club at 2840 Soscol Avenue in Napa.
Congressman Mike Thompson will be a featured Speaker and Congressional Candidates Charlie Brown of the 4th District, running against Rep. John Doolittle and Dr. Bill Durston running against Rep. Dan Lungren of the 3rd District are confirmed guests. Representatives of the Clinton, Obama and Edwards campaigns as well as Representatives from Measure L and others for the June Ballot initiatives will be available to provide information and answer questions.
This is an opportunity to register to vote and become informed about the issues and the candidates who will be making a difference in the upcoming election process. Democrats of Napa Valley Club President Carol Whichard said: "With the elections of 2008 upon us, the Democrats of Napa Valley have a real opportunity to make positive and much needed change to the course of this great country of ours."
Tickets will be available at the door for $10 which will be credited to new or renewal memberships to the Democrats of Napa Valley for those who join that evening.
